"Do you think amethysts can be the souls of good violets?."

~ L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

Whisper of Violets is our Newest scent of Strong violets with hints of other floral and juniper berries as an exfoliant. Unique and strong but not overpowering!

We use a classic soap making method called Cold Process. This locks in all the natural glycerin and all the nutrients from the oils we use, so your skin gets all the benefit. We don’t use any animal fats in our soaps. No parabens, no phthalates, no alcohols. Just great quality soaps handmade the old-fashioned way. And we don’t skimp on the good stuff.

Our soaps are handmade, hand cut and hand packaged with loose bath herbs. The herbs included with this soap is Blue Cornflower.  Each bar is approximately 4.8 oz, but some variation is to be expected.

We only use whole ingredients, nutrient dense oils and the cold process method. This generations-old way of soap making is tried and true. The cold process method locks in all of the natural glycerin and your skin will thank you for it.

Our soap base includes:

Coconut Oil - very hydrating and nourishing. Great for dry skin and minor skin conditions

Organic Olive Oil - great for maintaining skin and hair health. Rich in Vitamin E and A.

Organic Sunflower Oil - a great source of vitamin E, rich in nutrients and antioxidants, and is effective for combating skincare issues like acne, inflammation, general redness and irritation of the skin. Sunflower oil has emollient properties that help the skin retain its moisture.

Organic Soybean oil-rich in vitamin E, a nutrient that can help promote skin health. May protect against inflammation and help the skin retain moisture.

Organic Shea Butter-High concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make shea butter an ideal soap ingredient for softening skin. Shea butter also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.

Our soaps cure for a minimum of 4-6 weeks to create a firm and long-lasting bar of soap. Our soaps don't have any stabilizers or preservatives. So it's best to keep your soap out of the stream of water. A draining soap dish works well. You can also cut your hefty bar of soap in half to extend the life even longer. Store soaps in a dry place.

Violets are an herb of love and protection. Violet crowns (chaplets) are said to cure headaches, dizziness, bring sleep, and calm anger. Violets are mixed with lavender, apple blossoms, yarrow, and roses in love potions. The leaf is a protection from all evil.

Mixed with Lavender, the flowers are a powerful love stimulant and also arouse lust. Custom says that if you pick the first violet of spring your dearest wish will be granted. Violets offers us the virtues of modesty, simplicity, serenity and peace, and they are a source of inspiration and good fortune for women.

Violets have been associated with the death of the young. With periwinkle they are said to bring comfort to a grieving heart and are well suited for planting upon a child’s grave. they are used in rituals of death and dying or placed on the altar when prayers are offered to keep the child’s memory healthy and alive. There is much magick to be had in these simple flowers.

Draws prophetic dreams and visions, stimulates creativity, and promotes peace & tranquility. Violet leaf provides protection from all evil. Violet crowns are said to cure headaches and bring sleep. Carry or give to newly married couples or new baby & mother to bring luck to the bearer. Keep a spray of violets on the altar to enhance night magick. Wear the leaves in a green sachet to help heal wounds and prevent evil spirits from making the wounds worse. Guards against deception and creates an atmosphere of trust and honesty.

According to the Medieval Doctrine of Signatures, every plant was put on this earth by God for the use of Mankind (Genesis 1:29). Thus, the sages of old reckoned, the value of each plant will be revealed to discriminating Herb Doctors by the shape of coloration of the plant itself, its spiritual “signature.” The Violet has long be revered as a sweet-smelling yet humble flower whose leaves are shaped exactly like hearts. We have known many people who place a Violet Leaf in their shoe and wear it that way for seven days in the belief that they will find a new lover. To do a triple-strength job, some folks use three Violet Leaves and wear them for a total of 21 days.

"The forward Violet thus did I chide…Sweet thief, whence didst thou steal they sweet that smells, If not from my love’s breath? The purple pride Which on thy soft cheek for complexion dwells In my love’s veins thou hast too grossly dyed” The Sonnets, XCIX by William Shakespeare

Violets can also be used in spells for good luck, money, protection, faithfulness, lust, wishes, peace, and healing, particularly after a relationship break-up. Use the leaves to absorb evil spells and ill will. It is said that if you dream of Violets, your life is about to change for the better. Another belief is that if you harvest the first Violet in the spring, your wish will be granted.
