🌿 Wort-Cunning Wednesday’s 🌿

This weeks Plant Oracle Card is Mugwort- (Artemisia vulgaris)

Mugwort✨Clairvoyance ✨Prophecy
✨Protection

🌿. In Britain, as in most of Europe, Mugwort is a common plant found on edges of lakes where ever you go. It is used in many countries around the world and it is even noted in Pliny’s records as a plant used to honor Isis. Its Latin name, Artemisia is probably a dedication to Artemis, so this herb has long been linked to the divine feminine. It was also known to be sacred to the Celtic, Germanic and Slavic Peoples. Its uses have included treating female ailments among many other things.Chinese acupuncturists will use burning dried Mugwort on thin slivers of Ginger over acupuncture points in a treatment known as moxibustion. Moxi relates to Mugwort. 🌿

Mugwort has also been used as an aid to divination and clairvoyance. It is useful to burn the dried herb in meditation to relax and open the mind. Mugwort is a personal favorite plant ally of mine.

🌿 Mugwort wisdom for us today is reminding us, as we immerse ourselves in the energy of the New Moon, to pay close attention to our dreams. What messages are coming in our sleeping dreams? What are we day dreaming about? Are we remembering our dreams? 🌚

If this card speaks to you, It it may be a good time for you to take note of where there might be rising new energy within our bodies, or our lives? Mugwort's roots live in the damp nooks and crannies- connecting us with our emotional and intuitive and subconscious wisdom, but which we may not be fully taking advantage of because of an energetic block, a negative thought pattern, or even an unhealthy connection with a person or entity. What are your dreams and goals you want to bring to fruition over the next couple weeks? This may also be a good time to work on developing your own intuitive ability.🌿

Its beautiful grey green leaves reach upward toward the sun, and the moon- and remind us to look up to those heavenly bodies for wisdom and connection. What is your connection with the moon? With her phases? Do you notice your energy and mood shifting with the moon? Are you being asked to honor the changes she goes through each month with ceremony?

Look for further posts on this subject as well as botanical information on the Mugwort plant over the next week.
