🌿 Wortcunning Wednesday 🌿

This weeks Tarot Card pull is “Knight of Swords.”

✨A Battle ⚔️

🌿 If this card speaks to you.

I have found that when the Knight of Swords shows up in a reading, he is often heralding a battle that must be fought so that a resolution to a problem may be found. He is a Charming Knight in Shining armor too in the classical sense, and often rides into your life for a short period of time-only to ride off again. However, his charm is infectious and he brings with him the energy and resolve to meet your challenge with the courage of a Knight.

On the flip side-a reversed Knight of Swords may reveal the other side of the coin. A reversed Knight of Swords loves drama, provided that he can manipulate others from the sidelines rather than partake in the battle itself. So as you ride into battle be aware that the other side of the battlefield
May hold a manipulator who is feeding off of the drama.

🍒 Wild cherry bark (Prunus avium .) is a medicinal herb derived from the black cherry tree that has been used for hundreds of years due to its antiviral, antibacterial, and anticancer properties. Just as the Knight of Swords rides into battle so does Wild Cherry Bark. It is rich in minerals such as zinc, iron, calcium, and magnesium and phytochemicals such as quercetin and kaempferol. Wild cherry bark also contains vasorelaxant, expectorant, and decongestant properties and can significantly help to remove mucus from the lungs and increase lymphatic system function.

🍒 This is why wild cherry bark is a common ingredient in cough syrups and is an effective remedy for respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, laryngitis, asthma, pertussis, colds, flu, and chronic lung congestion. Wild cherry bark is also an excellent digestive remedy and is known to help soothe digestive ailments such as gastritis, diarrhea, colitis, flatulence, constipation, and irritable bowel syndrome.

💫 Magickal Properties-Lust, direction, frugality, favors, invisibility, and magickal potency. Burn as an incense while performing divination to enhance the results, or while performing love spells to land a partner. Use to revitalize the Magickal energy needed to finish an old project.

Knight of Swords Keywords: assertive, direct, impatient, intellectual, daring, focused, perfectionist, ambitious

My Interpretation:
The Knight of Swords is obviously a Portent for engaging in battle, rows, arguments and hostilities. When he appears under this energy, he suggests that the issue has already blown up and that you and others are already caught up in it. It may have gone past the stage of talking about it. Negotiation may have failed as those involved arm themselves to both defend and attack.

If you feel that this Knight represents your opposition in any way, even though he insists on prodding you with the point of his Sword, try not to give in to knee-jerk reactions for you will be playing right into his hands. This Knight excels in this arena, and regardless of whether he was once your friend, or that you know you are in the right, If the battle does not have any true and just cause, step out and away from it.
